How to Make you computer Faster ?

There are a couple of things you need to know about your PC in order to make your PC faster.
Older machines would come configured with 512 KB (1/2 gig) RAM and 40, 60 gig hard drives. Years ago that was an acceptable specification but now days applications are more demanding and require more resources, like memory.
Hard drives get filled up with programs and data, registries get clogged with programs that have been installed throughout the years. So you need to know how to clean up your hard drive, it's one of the best PC speed maximizer techniques (and essential) you must do.
And yes, there's the "V" word, viruses. Viruses can slow down your PC and sometimes do irreplaceable damage to personal files and data.
Let's face it, these days people aren't going out and buying new computers every 2 or 3 years, they're keeping them and using them for as long as they can so you need a good pc optimizer process to keep your PC tuned up.
You have to know how to make adjustments to your PC in order for it run faster. It's like your car, if you don't tune it up once in awhile it's not going to perform properly. To get that "speedy PC" back again there are a couple of basic configurations you must understand.
There are 3 main components of the PC are:
1.  RAM (memory). Which can easily be upgraded. Add another gig to your PC, it's easy. If you do not know how, take your PC to your local PC person, Best Buy, Micro Center. An extra gig will cost you $25-$30. Easy to upgrade.
2.  The system board & CPU. The system board (or Mother board) is the main board that your processor, RAM and hard drive connect to. Not easy to upgrade.
3.  The hard drive. The hard drive contains the operating system (Windows if PC), all programs installed, possibly licensed strings for some of those programs, personal files, pictures, videos, music, etc. Not easy to upgrade but EASY to Maintain.
You get the picture, the hard drive is not that easy to physically upgrade, but it is easy to maintain.
So what can you do?
Follow these simple steps to get your PC running fast again:
1. Run a virus cleaner (FREE download below)
2. Check RAM (minimum 1 gig)   start – run – msinfo32 (enter)
3. Clean hard drive - need 20% hard drive free   start – run -  diskmgmt.msc (enter)
4. Run Disk Cleanup    start – run – cleanmgr (enter)
5. Reduce start up programs   start – run – msconfig (enter) - select the "Startup" tab - uncheck any programs you don't want to start when your PC starts up.
6. Defrag – start – My Computer – right mouse - C: drive - properties - Tools (tab) - Defragment Now
7. Run a good registry cleaner recommend: http://www.registry-easy.com
*** You need to get Windows Updates periodically. Windows updates can help speed up pc
#1 -Clean up your hard drive
Learn how to clean up your hard drive so it will run and perform at its optimum level.
Learn how to clean it up and free up space for better performance.
Know what files to delete and what files NOT to delete.
Transfer important files to another external drive in preparation for PC hard drive failure.
Run various utilities that will optimize your hard drive.
You have to periodically perform minor maintenance on your hard drive.
#2 -Run a bonafide virus removal program
This should actually be done before you start doing any work on your PC. Even if you have an Antivirus program, you should run our suggested virus scanner (weekly).
There are many so called virus removing programs that claim to be the best. We have access to one that users from "Home users" to "IT Professionals" use.
Did you know that certain Anti Virus programs will degrade performance (and more)? We will recommend the best Anti virus program.

#3 -Learn how to stop unnecessary programs from loading at start up (and Windows Services)
There are many programs that load at "Start Up" that don't need to load (and they're taking up valuable resources that can affect the performance and speed of your PC).
There are also many Window Services that load upon start that you don't need as well that also rob your PC of speed.
There are many programs on the internet that claim to clean everything on your PC and make it perform better and faster etc.
Truth is they can't detect if your hard drive space is at a low and tell you how to free up space.
They can't detect what programs you want to load at start up.
They can't detect what service to start or stop.
The TRUTH is, you have to know your PC's configuration (And it's easier than you think).
You have to know what files that you can delete or move off your hard drive to free up space.
It is a fact that Windows needs a certain amount of free hard drive space to do processing, so if that space is not available it hinders performance.
Conventional Approach
Only You know what programs and personal files to delete or move off your hard drive.
This means you should be the one to remove any old programs that may be taking up valuble space on your hard drive. If you hire a technician, he or she will definitely have to ask you what programs you don't use or need any more, they shouldn't arbitrally start deleting them (which some do).
The best Virus and Malware Removal program
We give you the best virus remover on the internet today (download below)
It's so good that many IT Professionals us it.
Follow our step-by-step system and say Good Bye to harmful threats, viruses and worms.    And say Hello to a computer with the Speed, Performance and Power that you had when you first bought your PC.
We do not recommend ever making any changes to the Windows Registries (unless you're experienced and know what you're doing). We do though suggest the best registry cleaner on the market.
Other things can make a slow computer
1. Your cable modem or DSL modem could be defective. Most likely you are renting this device from your provider. If you're experiencing slow internet speeds you should have it checked and this should be a free service, you're paying for it.
2. Virus or Malware. A virus or malware can be robbing your PC of speed
3. Antivirus software can create much processing and overhead. Try disabling and see if performance improves. If so, you may have to switch to one that does get along with your computer.
